I spent Christmas at a budget hotel and was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the room. The staff was friendly too, but that's where the positivity ends. The location of the hotel was great, it was in a prime spot close to some good restaurants and tourist spots. the Wi-Fi worked surprisingly well, which made my online Christmas greetings a lot easier.

That's where the good experience ends. The hotel lacks basic amenities like towels, toiletries and drinking water.
